Once you arrive at the terminal
If you have not used Leeds Bradford Airport before, the first decision is whether you need the separate Jet2 building or the main terminal. You can jump directly to the route you need below.
Where is the Jet2 building at Leeds Bradford Airport?
The Jet2 building is separate from the main terminal entrance. If you are approaching from the bus stands, taxi drop-off or main terminal parking area, use these landmarks to find it before entering the main terminal.
Walk towards the main terminal
From the bus stands, taxi drop-off or main terminal parking area, walk towards the main terminal entrance. Cross the final zebra crossing onto the pathway leading towards the terminal.
Continue towards the covered area
Continue along the path towards the main entrance until you reach the covered area near the terminal.
Look right for the Jet2 building
At the covered area, look to your right. Cross the zebra crossing and you will see the separate building with the large Jet2 sign outside.
If you are flying with Jet2, check your booking and the airport signage to confirm where you need to check in or drop your bags. The Jet2 building sits beside the main terminal rather than inside the main entrance.
Check-in, bag drop and finding security
If you are using the main terminal, first check your flight information and complete any check-in or bag-drop process required by your airline before joining the security queue.
Do not head straight into the security queue if you still need to check in or drop off hold baggage. Complete your airline's required check-in or bag drop first, then continue towards security.
Enter the main terminal
Use the flight information and airline signs inside the terminal to find the appropriate check-in or bag-drop area if you need one.
Choose regular security or Fast Track
From the terminal entrance, the automatic doors for regular security are on the left. Fast Track is through the automatic doors on the right.
Turn left and follow All Gates
After passing through either set of doors, the route turns immediately left. Continue for roughly 30 seconds past Greggs and WHSmith.
Continue towards security
The All Gates signs lead towards the security entrance. Follow them once you have completed any required airline check-in or bag drop.

Driving to the airport
Leeds Bradford Airport is signposted from major roads around the surrounding Yorkshire area.
The airport can be reached through routes connecting with the M1, M62 and the Yorkshire section of the A1. Roads leading to the airport's on-site car parks are accessed from Whitehouse Lane.
Which postcode should you use?
The airport publishes LS19 7TU as its main driving postcode.
This postcode directs drivers towards the access road for Pick Up & Drop Off, Meet & Greet and Short Stay parking. Follow the road signs for your specific booked car park once you approach the airport rather than relying only on your navigation system.
Planning for traffic
Journey times can change significantly because of traffic, roadworks, weather and local events.
Check current traffic and travel-disruption information before leaving. Allow additional time during peak periods and do not base your airport arrival plan only on the fastest estimated journey shown by a navigation application.
Travelling by bus
Direct FLYER bus services connect the airport with Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.
The services are operated by Transdev. The airport states that buses normally run every day from early morning, usually around 06:00, until late evening, usually around 22:00. Services also operate on weekends and bank holidays, but passengers should check the live timetable for their travel date.
Travelling by train
Leeds Bradford Airport does not have a railway station directly at the terminal.
Passengers arriving by train need to complete the final part of the journey by bus or taxi. Useful connections include Leeds station, Bradford Interchange and stations on the Leeds to Harrogate and Leeds to Ilkley lines.
Connecting from Leeds or Bradford station
FLYER buses connect the airport with the major rail hubs in Leeds and Bradford.
Through rail-and-bus tickets may also be available for journeys to or from the airport. Check National Rail and Transdev before travelling because railway and bus schedules can change independently.
Taxi and private hire
Arrow Cars is the airport's official taxi partner.
Arrow Cars operates a pick-up and drop-off service at the terminal front. A journey can be booked online, through its mobile application, by telephone on 0113 258 5888 or through the office and touchscreen kiosk at the airport.
Using another taxi company
Passengers are not required to use the airport's official taxi partner.
Another private-hire provider can collect or drop passengers using either the paid Pick Up & Drop Off car park or the One Hour Free Zone. Make sure the driver knows which area you intend to use before reaching the airport.
Cycling to the airport
The airport is approximately 8.5 miles from Leeds city centre and eight miles from Bradford.
Bicycles may be secured in sensible areas of the public car parks, excluding the Pick Up & Drop Off car park and terminal front. They must not restrict walkways or occupy parking spaces. The airport can remove bicycles left in unsuitable locations.
Travelling by motorcycle
Motorcyclists can book parking in the airport's motorcycle-compatible car parks.
Motorcyclists are not exempt from parking charges and must use a full parking bay. Meet & Greet cannot be used by motorcycles.
Car hire
Avis and Enterprise currently operate from the airport's on-site Car Rental Centre.
The centre can be reached by following the road signs from Whitehouse Lane. Customers returning a vehicle outside normal opening hours can deposit the keys in the relevant hire company's drop box. Confirm opening hours and availability directly with the provider.
Choosing the best transport option
The best choice depends on your departure time, luggage, passenger numbers and return arrangements.
A direct bus may provide good value for passengers travelling during its operating hours. A taxi may be easier for families, groups, heavy luggage or early departures. Driving provides flexibility but means paying for parking. Train passengers need to include enough time for the onward bus or taxi connection.
